Another Earthquake!!

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

Although I was a little dissappointed by the poor effort, after some investigation I am amazed I felt it at all!! At around 9.20pm last night I felt the walls shaking for a couple of seconds in what felt to me at the time like a modest 3.2 quake in the local area….imagine my surprise to learn it was a 7.8 at the other end of the South Island….blinking miles away!

Reference Number: 3124785
NZST: Wed, Jul 15 2009 9:22 pm
Magnitude: 7.8
Depth: 12 km

Just goes to show doesn’t it!
