Now not being so guillable I decided to do a bit of digging first, so I did a google search on the top winner’s name and sure enough I came up with this:- Eric Prevost So by now your probably thinking WOW this ‘has’ to be true right?

WRONG!!

Being someone who is seasoned with over 10 years of telecommunications experience, and one who knows the internet to be the hostile place it truly is, I am not convinced by one SINGULAR and probably engineered news story as evidence to back up this apparent win. So I dig a little further and find a blog entery where another person had a similar win, on a DIFFERENT date to me, but lo!! Check out the list of names in their list?!

Almost identical:-

Dance your socks off!!

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

As part of the current season of ‘Dance your socks off’ I took the opportunity on Monday to go to a free Ceroc Class, in Northland. It was certainly interesting mixing with a number of ladies as I learned some new moves! I suspect Rachael who accompanied me may have got a little bit bored as it’s not quite as advanced as she is used too. Also being a strong willed woman Rachael isn’t ‘led’ easily lol!! You’ll always be my number one dance partner though!

In other news I read in the paper today that the Cook Straight between North and South Island is the most active oceanic subtarreanean area in the world! Let’s just say for me in this part of the world, the earth really ‘does’ move every day!

I am on the cusp of applying for Residency here, since I have now been in New Zealand for a whole 2 years!!! I can hardly believe the time that has flown by. I have so many friends; and this is the most settled I have felt out of any place I have lived. I have accomplished so many ‘firsts’ here too! Lots of which involved playing with currently the only ‘A Grade’ brass band in Wellington…

still miss folks back in UK from time to time though, and as soon as I can muster it up I will plan a trip back to say ‘hi!’
