Here’s a Mystery?!

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

Someone - a “Mr Parker” has ordered a pizza from a local pizza place, and given “my” address for delivery!!  It arrives and the delivery guy knocks my door not more than 5 minutes ago…Obvious since it was not prepaid, I have sent the delivery guy away.  Otherwise I would have graciously accomodated them on “Mr Parker’s” behalf….

Now the mystery unfolds…some one/two years ago I got a knock on the door from police officers asking if a “Mr Parker” lived here.  Now there is definatley not another road or avenue with the same name as mine in Crewe that i am aware…

Let’s just say….the alarm bells are currently ringing, and my paranoa levels just took a hit!

What a show!!

The 'D'

This was certainly a show to remember, with the show starting off in Kyle’s appartment – they somehow managed to fit a loose plot round all of the songs; I won’t give it away for those yet to see this but it was almost like going to a live version of the movie!!  I loved every minute, apart from the support act – (though clever gig psychology ensued!) – the support was some wannabe comedian dishing out deliberatley un-funny and bad-taste jokes to us….  although insainly bad, this ploy was pure genius by “The D”

Well – let’s face it, absolutley anything that follows an act like this comedian would be sheer awesomeness!  In my own humble opinion I doubt “The D” should need to resort to this, given their shining example of greatness and showmanship! The encore was eggsellent! With a fine rendition of “Tribute” – The Greatest Song in the World?!

This was a great way to spend my burfday indeed – Fankyoo to my Bruva and Sister-In-Law!

So the theory goes…

First of all, I have to come clean and admit I have no idea what it means to be feeling “exanimate” but couldn’t find the mood I was looking for so, plumped for that instead!  The evening grows on.  Basically chilled and watched some telly (for a change) because usually my activities centre around the band or the PC these days :P

BIG THANKS to Andy and Jo (Brother and Sister-In-Law) for sorting the Tenacious-D tickets for my “burfday” (woooooopy!!) can’t wait.

Also – I am down in London all next week on a technical course for work stuff etc.. (yawn) so I will be setting aside some evening time to meet up with family down that way – Uncle Chris, Auntie Susie and  Cousin Helen at least maybe…? Perhaps find a way to bump into Matt eh?!

Going to read a little about EFT – Emotional Freedem Technique a bit later as recommended by a fellow Reiki Healer from work! (Yay I’m no longer on my own) – seems this could be catching on.  Anyways – if you are intrigued about EFT yourself simply follow the link and read about it for yourself :)

I am off to get some food for Bubble before he starves – been squeeking at me for ages now, and I realised I haven’t got any fresh veg in for him – someone report me to the RSPCA immediatley!

Slowly Does it…

Today has totally dragged it’s heels on me, on a day I’d rather not be in work too!  Feeling really drained with all the added travelling I have done this week.  Nothing new to report with my mum, some more scans to run in a few days, but until then it’ll be the same old story – lack of care, lack of support from an already strained system.

It’s a shame really – I have been paying National Insurance contributions for over a third of my life, and if I were to fall ill what return would I get on any of that investment?  My view is a rather pessimistic one based on current situations and experience.

Caught a bit of Big Brother the other night, and it’s as complicated as ever, Nikki is beginning to crumble under the pressure, and Pete is still the star of the show!

Not sure how often I will be blogging over the next few days, as I just don’t have the energy of late…

Busy weekend…

Not much to say really, exorcised a lot – didn’t get rid of many of the demons still stuck around my waist! But I am determined to keep at it (play on words “obviously”)

Been out with the band doing what bands do, helped get Little Budworth’s first fete in 15 years off the ground, and then today we were in Halton Haven Hospice playing an informal out door concert in the (if not sunny) dry weather…  The rain arrived just as we finished, though I would argue we played better than that?!

I took a few pics, but I will save them for the Brass Band Blog, (when I eventually update it, tomorrow “hopefully”)

Finally in other news – football, (BIG SURPRISE…sigh) – We are through to the Quarters!  Although being a realist (having watched Argentina play magnificantly yesterday against Mexico) I don’t see us making it all the way to the end…

…Plus…what do you think?  Will the new secret neighbours in Big Brother be the neighbours from hell?
