The birth of a new character…

So combining two of my current interests – Doctor Who and Steampunk I have invented a new character, my own take on a timelord who prefers life within the Vortex itself – “The Architect” – as a timelord he takes more of an observer role, than the ‘actual’ Doctor – never being seen or heard, although his influence from time to time can be felt ;p

I purchased the last of my outfit pieces today, and I am quite excited about the finished look.

I promise to upload a pic or three soon…as I intend to where it to Rachael’s birthday shindig!

Another jolt hits Wellington!

This was up in the Hutt (Upper Hutt) area and was quite shallow so felt worse than it actually was on the Richter scale. There have been reports of some minor damage, nothing major to be noted from this one though….so all good :)

In other news I will be off to Melbourne Australia in a couple of weeks to attend Cisco Live (used to be Cisco Networkers), to do the whole learn thing etc… and mince around with a few vendors and peers….

This cool app originally written for the Android platform and since ported to others like Blackberry and iPhone allows you to tie in your GPS with the Google Maps API. Giving (if you share like a nice kid) the populous who browse to your page a live view of your current location, I’m hoping one day this will save my bacon for example if I travel to any destinations known for kidnapping I can simply wait for the cavalry to arrive… or not, if I am being held in a faraday cage or out of line of the sky (as is common in many kidnapping situations) where my location can no longer be fixed by GPS….hmmmm think I just spotted a flaw in my plan.. o.O

In other news lesson number 2 in Japanese tonight! Should be fun :)

A rare thing

It’s been “ages” since I last blogged in detail, I guess this form of blogging has largely become surrogated by my Facebook addiction of late, and in fact that is essentially my blog for the moment. I am not giving up on this blog however; as this holds a lot of memories and sentiment and cannot totally be brushed under the virtual carpet.

With the start of a New Year, it’s only fair to start my New Year with a bang, wallop and lots of fitness related jargon so I’ve started a challenge with my Sister to see who can reach their goal weight first?
