Well, it’s been an interesting Christmas and New Year (albeit a little quieter than past efforts); I tried to go whale watching in the South Island again this year and failed misreably. Apparently the sea was too rough (again)… so Rachael and I went exploring cave(s) instead…. just the one, but apparently home to the Tooth Faerie (who knew?!). We did some foal petting (i.e. being the first human contact for some very young horses) and some horse trekking.
That’s basically it for me, and now on with the New Year – as for resolutions my main one is to lose some weight as it has slowly crept up over the last couple of months which is never good. My current weight is at 101kg’s which although is still miles away from the 126kg’s I used to be, it’s still the wrong side of 100kg, my target is 90kg’s so that’s 11kg to lose. I can healthily lose about 5-6kg’s a month so theoretically I can be back to normal by March….. I’ve decided to start some swimming activities and walk a lot more (I simply don’t ‘do’ gyms) than usual and also reduce my alcohol intake a lot these measures alone should be sufficient to turn things around
If I had the space and was allowed to I’d get a pet dog, to help with my exercise regime. I guess all I need to do, is make some new exercise activities a habit, and the rest becomes easy right? I mean diet wise I always eat fresh fruit and veg, although I could drink more water…
sigh….
Happy New Year!!!
